Au Peche Mignon - Reservar uma mesa

I recently returned to the Peche Mignon where I had eaten several years ago. The menu is packed with local specialties which they seem to do just a little better than everywhere else. The salad dressing is a case in point. Good salad dressing is a french staple across the country, but you would be hard pressed to find a better example than this simple vinaigrette. The tarte flambee is amazing with a very pastry-like crust and the Baekeoffe is among the best I've ever tasted. I ate there twice on my last visit and was delighted to see several familiar faces from the night before. It's that kind of place.

Le restaurant est un peu caché, loin de la cohue de la rue principale. Nous y sommes venus il y une dizaine d'années et avions gardé un bon souvenir. Quelle déception lors de notre passage en juillet 2012. La patronne est peu accueillante. Nous avons eu l'impression de la déranger. La décoration n'a pas changé, mais une légère odeur de moisi flotte dans l'air. Il y a peu de monde ( on se demande pourquoi!?). Cela mériterait un bon coup de neuf, de nettoyage ou plus simplement un détour .

We discover this nice restaurant on our first evening in Riquewhir. Situated in a small side street away from the touristic main street.The restaurant is also making tea room and is hiring bedrooms and appartment.Nice decor with some antiques. Small room, very family. You seems to enter in the house of somebody although you need to pay at the end!Typical alsacian dishes to enjoy.Personnel very friendly.

Bonjour , j'ai travaillé comme cuisinier dans ce restaurant pendant 8 mois et je vous assure que tout est congelé même les tartes flambées viennent de picard tout le reste est du sous vide de chez métro même le fameux baeckeoffe il suffit de plonger les sachet en plastiques dans de l'eau chaude et le tour est jouer vous avez une belle assiette alsacienne a 30 euros.

Great little gem we came across tucked away in a back street, good atmosphere and price reasonable. The Baeckeoffe is must.
