Bloodroot - Reservar uma mesa

This magnificent, independent vegetarian restaurant is an absolutely beautiful place to visit, eat and enjoy the welcoming, colorful, offbeat atmosphere. The food is delicious (the vegan lasagne and vegetarian meat loaf are both wonderful) and the staff is super friendly. The restaurant is self-service: You order at the counter, they call your name when your food is ready, and then take your food wherever you want to eat. You have outdoor seating on the terrace so you can safely eat outdoors, or you can buy food to go. I am so glad that the independent restaurants flourish in the middle of the chain restaurant extension, especially as this restaurant is feminist and feels like a safe room.

Place is off the beaten path so you might miss it, but don?t. This is Vegan food for non vegans? full of flavor and everything we had was superb. Asparagus soup you would expect but the smoked salmon made from Carrots? Amazing! we had a pasta dish and a curry on coconut rice that was great. We are both serious carnivores and we loved it! Kind of feels like you are eating in their home?. It was not convenient for us as we live rather far away but very glad we made the trip!

The food was very good, but after I came here to leave a review, I saw several conversations about how transphobia they are. As a transperson, I was disgusting and horrified to see all these comments. I'll never come back and give these people my money. Trans women are women and trans men are men. TERFS are not feminists.

This restaurant is one of my favorite gardens. The proprietary are amazing and accomplished women who love to serve good food and stimulating conversation. The bookshop is unique and pleasant. Best vegan food in the state.
