Bodega im Scheffel

I wasn't planning on eating at the Bodega, but was impressed by the large number of diners present on a Tuesday evening in this sleepy lower Rhein town. But I am glad I did. The ambience was good, modern but traditional at the same time. The service was very friendly indeed, the staff patient with my poor German and even poorer Spanish. I had an excellent Chef's Salad, and two tasty tapas dishes. My Crema Catalan wasn't the best I ever tasted though. Excellent house rioja to wash it down. I would happily return.

The food was too laff compared to other tapasbars. The map was quite simple, it lacked special dishes. Spanish is at the top so we have many bars to compare. The service and the ambience are really top.
