Burma Unique - Reservar uma mesa

This was my first experience trying Burmese cuisine. I attended a Christmas dinner there last night, and it turned out to be quite an entertaining experience. I don’t typically venture into new or exotic foods, but I enjoyed everything we ordered. It’s a fantastic spot for large groups! We had an impressive variety of dishes. I was initially hesitant about the salad made from fermented tea leaves, as that sounded quite unusual, but I’m really glad I gave it a try. The restaurant was bustling on a Saturday night, and even though the staff seemed busy, they remained composed and attentive throughout our meal.

My mom is a big fan of this Chinese restaurant in Lafayette. Unfortunately, when I went to pick up food for her on a Monday, it was closed. Since she had already set the table and was counting on lunch, I turned to Yelp and discovered Burma Unique, which had a 4.5-star rating. I placed an order and had a wonderful experience with the manager. I took the food home, enjoyed it, and ended up never returning to Lafayette. The food was incredible, and I highly recommend trying the coconut soup!

My friend and I sampled the Tea Leaf Salad, and it was unique and fantastic! The Buttermilk Chicken was absolutely extraordinary! The Shan noodles were just alright, but the Mango Shrimp was delicious, and the fried rice was excellent. For an appetizer, we had the Platha, which always satisfies. The Mango Mule was incredibly refreshing and tasty! I can't wait to return!

I used to be a big fan of Le Cheval, but its location didn't attract much foot traffic, and I often found myself dining in a mostly empty restaurant. Now, Burma Unique has taken over the space, and it will likely face similar challenges. Nonetheless, I sincerely hope that local residents will support this new spot because the food and service are outstanding.

The food here is absolutely outstanding. Everything we ordered was consistently amazing. The black pepper meat is so incredible that it feels almost illegal. I give it five stars, plus a little extra for that Mario sound!
