Buttercross Tea Room

Very disappointed this Cafe is not offering the Govt Scheme to Eat Out to Help Out. In this past month have not been anywhere that is not offering this great scheme to get people back out enjoying cafes and restaurants. I had a great surprise when I was told the bill and I asked about the scheme, was told by the waiter the owner said it’s too much work for him!! Didn’t care for the sign that said we are a very busy cafe please keep your stay to 90 minutes.

We live just opposite the tea rooms and we love love LOVE the buttercross. We always order the same thing because it tastes sooo good. Would highly recommend their filled baguettes. The staff are friendly, polite and helpful at all times

Wonderful staff and service coupled with sublime cakes and pastries mean that there was no better place to watch the World go by than this quintessential English tea-rooms. Simply lovely place to break a journey and chill.

Lovely toasted tea cakes! The staff are very friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. We look forward to our weekly treat in The Tearoom.

A great place to stop on a bike ride , great coffee great cakes and friendly service Really good value , 3 visits now and always really good
