Cardwell Garden Centre Cafe

I recently visited a garden centre where I had not been in some time to grab a bite to eat and a cup of coffee. Unfortunately, the restaurant was a huge disappointment. I ordered steak pie with roast potatoes and vegetables, along with a latte. The latte was served in a cup instead of a mug, and was not hot as claimed. The food was lukewarm and inedible - the pastry was soggy and the roast potatoes were extremely crisp. The broccoli was mushy and tasteless, and the carrots lacked flavor. Some of the meat was tender while other parts were tough. The coffee was strong, bitter, and unpleasant. After a few bites and sips, I left and have no plans to return in the future. It had been over 5 years...

Very disappointing. We havent been here since before covid. Arrived at cafe anticipating some good food. Ordered macaroni and chips. It was awful...overpowering taste of flour. Very little cheese, strange orange colour. soggy pasta.Chips were overcooked.Carrots were soggy. 2 cans of lemonade. Cost £25.00! We had to look around for a clean table. Lady who served us was very pleasant and helpful. We wont be back.

The food was barely warm and the staff had to reheat our meals, but they were still cold before we finished eating. Overall, the experience was very poor and the prices were too high. I usually don't like to leave reviews, but this was bad enough to make an exception. I will not be dining at this restaurant again.

Every time I dine at the café, I am reminded of why I choose not to dine there. The food is decent, but the prices are too high considering the poor service. A simple acknowledgment and a smile from the staff would go a long way.

The garden centre was excellent but the 3 stars are for the restaurant this is the second visit to the garden center and we love it however the cafe staff are awful and the service was terrible
