spontaneously went with friends to this place for eating and drinking and it was not disappointed! happy hour was lit cuz they get $1 off tacos and the drinks were also cheap. I had a regular margarita (sometimes was so loose with this I personally did not like it all others) and then it had mi poli a tamarinde and Mezcal drink and that was delicious. for tacos we had the bark, huh and fish. bark and chicken were on the dryer chewier side, but the fish was amazing. it was so tasteful and juicy, but had a nice crunch. the hot sauce they offer paired super good with everything not only a thing in special, but it is very sharp! friends who had the enchiladas (cheese) said it was delicious and c...

d e l i c i o u s! we all know that it is very hard to find good Mexican food outside mexicos (and especially in nyc), but Chavela’s were able to give us a real Mexican experience. everything was on the spot! chips and salsa, enchiladas and churros at the end were absolutely fantastic. in any case recommend!

The drinks were cool. Food was pretty good. Will definitely return to try a few of the other drinks. I had the Pescadilla which was cool.
