Always loved this place. Prices are reasonable, food is great, atmosphere is relaxed. Only downside? When it's full, it can be extremely noisy (but obviously right). Fav foods? I love the green salad that comes with the bread and butter. Escargot (of course), onion soup (obviously, this is a French restaurant), duck, steak tartare (sorry, I'm a big steak tartare fan), the sausages, and the gratin dauphinois (absolutely to die for...but this is a big portion and better to be shared). a trip is definitely worth winning and eating in edinburgh. the set meal they offer is of great value, a tenner-you canni whack it! salat, brot and ham, as they come and choose from decent menu options, and the goat cheese starter and steak for pornstar are fab. good choices and everyone always leaves happy.

Went there on a business dinner and it was a very nice experience. Delicious food, reasonably priced and a great ambience. Only bad thing is that we were a bit crammed, most likely because our group of 16 was a bit too big. But hey, I'd likely go back anytime.

Worth a trip in you're in Edinburgh. Go here for fantastic casual dining, great atmosphere. A piece of France in Scotland with some great traditional and contemporary cuisine.
