I love Melrose Park stuffed peppers so when I saw it on the chalkboard when we stopped in after the Art Fair on Saturday I knew what I was going to get! When I got my order they were actually those mini colored peppers you get in a plastic bag at Jewel! When I told the lady in charge she shrugged and said that's what we call them....my Italian side was pissed! False advertising for sure and she didn't care...! So wrong! So careful when you order there cuz maybe your Itaian sausage is actually Polish sausage...but thats what they call it there.... Wonder what other lies they tell...no scruples... Bill...are you serious?! I'm Italian and know both melrose and cubanelle peppers. You are serious...
What a fabulous spot. We met two other couples for lunch and had a wonderful experience. The restaurant isn’t too crowded during the day and we were able to linger for a few hours chatting and never felt rushed. Our antipasta salad was huge. We shared it among 3 people because we couldn’t finish it all. $23 might seem steep for a salad but it was chock full of artichokes, cheese and various salumi. They brought warm bread to the table to accompany the pasta and salads ordered. The chicken sandwich looked amazing. Their carrot cake slice was enough for 6 to share. We will definitely be back. Service was so friendly.
Always amazing food, service and cleanliness! This year, I planned a little surprise dinner for my mothers birthday. They made sure to accommodate our larger party with amazing service and as always delicious food. She was definitely surprised the balloons were a nice added touch). Thank you!
Lovely little Italian spot in downtown Barrington. The staff are friendly, the ambiance is great and the food was delicious. Service is done at an authentic Italian pace so don't expect to eat and go quickly. Kid-friendliness: Their 10 pizza was great for my 4 year old.
