Comstock Saloon - Reservar uma mesa

I went to Comstock last December based on the good reviews I saw online and it was an awful experience. I entered through the bar area and the bartender took my order (it was steak and fries). Then I proceeded to sit at a table which happened to be very close to the kitchen. For this reason, I was able to see how the chef handled my food. Once he put the food on my plate, a few fries fell on the side and he grabbed them with his bare hands (no gloves) and put them back on the plate. Because I was starving, I did not make a scene about it. Rather, I jokingly made a comment about it to the server who brought it to me. To this he responded: “He’s a chef! Comstock is a bit of a classic spot, the retro decor and ambience always make for a fun experience.On this latest visit, service was characteristically idiosyncratic from three different servers but in a way that somehow adds to the charm.

It’s get warm when the corers come in, but the service can’t be beat. Exceptional drinks and a fun spot to hear live music. Great place to unwind with friends and have a drink. Great selection of non-alcoholic cocktails too.Food: 5/5

Nice space, speak-easy decor. Spacious enough to chat with a group, but also hear live music. The jazz band plays upstairs, and seating is downstairs, so it’s a bit difficult to see and hear, but it’s nice background music.

Pop in and sit at the bar for savory shareables and refreshing cocktails ? impressive bartending and delicious bites brings Comstock to my list of recommended spots in SF! Cheers!
