Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

We were a complete party of 9, including some friends (and their children) we had met for dinner. We waited nearly an hour for our food, then when the food did come out, it was cold. Two of our children had to wait for their food. Our waitress abandoned us for 80% of our visit. Refills were neglected, our cornbread and biscuits were missing as well. We had to ask for things repeatedly when she did appear. They were not busy, as we saw multiple employees standing around. We spoke with the manager who only offered free desserts for our young children, after 8:15pm by this time. After we declined the desserts, as they were NOT going to fix this situation, the manger only offered a simple apolog...

Good atmosphere. Very friendly staff and good service. Went to lunch, only issue is they lost track of our reservation so we waited a really long time to be seated for our party of 6. The rocking chairs out front on the ‘porch’ are so wonderful to have while waiting for your table. Store is chock full of random items to buy. Ordered the Country fried steak (delicious) with hash brown casserole (just okay) and carrots (good, they were out of broccoli) and the most amazing homemade biscuits! Seriously those are good! Rest of my group ordered assorted ‘served all day’ breakfast menu items and a strawberry mimosa and were pleased with their meals. Minus the wait, an overall good experience. Good...

Normally the food is great there and I love the store. But last night the steak look like a stick it was disgusting. I got pot roast there was so much fat on it it was ridiculous my baked potato came out after I was done eating they said it wasn’t cooking and then she said it took forever to heat it up in the microwave. I ordered sweet tea and when she refilled my cup it was not sweet tea. Probably won’t go back for a while get it together Cracker Barrel get it together train your waitress is better.

The store atmosphere was wonderful like the Cracker Barrel's typically are. The waitress Chloe did an excellent job and was being shadowed by a trainee. I ordered the Turkey Dinner which is their Thursday special. I really wanted the sweet potato casserole. That part of the meal was no longer available, and substituted with a hash brown casserole. That would have been nice to know when I placed my order. The gift shop was nice. I forgot to purchase my post cards to send.

dee is a rockstar and a great server. that eating was better than it was in a long time and no one cried on me for a mask.
