I have been going to DQ stores for 45+ years. I have never been to this location. We ordered 3 cones and they were literally the worst ice cream cones (hard or soft serve) we've ever had from DQ or anywhere. The taste, texture and even temperature all seemed off. The ice cream was harder and more solid in the middle, almost like it was still frozen and thawing, but the outside of this solid centre was dripping faster and more runny than normal. So, it was almost too cold when licking and not much ice cream came off with each lick. The cones took way longer to eat (probably twice as long as normal), we had runny liquid all over our hands and when we finally got to the ice cream still left in...
This location has a sign that says “blizzard served upside or next one free”. We received our blizzards in a tray and asked staff if our next ones were free to which they said “no it was served in a tray so it doesn’t apply”. We took the lids off of our blizzards and they should’ve just given us a straw and told us we have milk shakes instead because they were completely melted. This location loves to false advertise, would not recommend coming here.
Service at this location is terrible. There’s always a group of employees standing behind the counter talking amongst themselves while you stand and wait for someone to take your order. They ignore you until you speak up. Even then, they act like you’re punishing them by placing an order and making them work. Quite the attitudes as well. Won’t be coming back anymore.
We always come here for our birthday cakes to this location at the Boardwalk. We moved out of the city and have tried the other DQ and they just dont come close to decorating the ice cream cakes. The owners are super friendly and can always put a smile on your face. We might live 30 mins out of town now but this is our DQ!!No other compares.
