This place has such high ratings likely because the town is trying to save one of the few restaurants in town. In fairness we didn’t eat, the service and experience in the first 10 minutes had us walk out.Door locked at 1:30pm. Consistent with other reviews, service was unprofessional, table not clean, staff speaking as if we’re buddies. Other table sat down after us, got menus before us. The server finally comes to get drink order, ordered ice tea, then got the menu. Menu is plain, only a couple of decent looking Mexican items, and wasn’t willing to try the watery gravy due to the other reviews. Told the other server (our guys wasn’t to be found) to cancel the teas and and we’re going elsew...

What a gem! Everything was fabulous. Every dish was full of flavour it was all we could do not to lick the plates. The complimentary salsa from “Grandma’s recipe” was the best we have ever experienced. The service was outstanding; attentive, enthusiastic and patient with all our questions. Thank you!Vegetarian options: Incredibly accommodating. Most dishes could be made vegetarian if they weren’t already.

Absolutely delicious food! This food is simple but seasoned and cooked to perfection.The staff is so friendly and engaging. They are obviously proud of this third generation family business.I only get to Alamosa a couple of times a year, but I will make a point to eat here.

Chose to stop here because it sounded interesting it was. Very good food. My partner had Emma's special and I had stuffed sopapilla. Both were very good. So glad we stopped.Food: 5/5
