Empress Taytu Ethiopian Restaurant

we had the appetizer sampler and a selection of dressed like dorowat, divided pebbles, lenses, crowned greens, cheese and cauliflower for dinner and also ordered the traditional coffee. everything was incredibly tasteful, and the coffee is one must come. they fry the coffee beans and the tablet comes with burning smokers. I do not have sufficient varieties to describe the rich aroma and taste of the coffee. the server was also friendly and appealing. it is a definitiw one of the places that everyone should try when they come to cleveland.

although the aromen were in order, this was my first disappointing experience in an Ethiopian restaurant. we ordered a veggie combo, which on the menu 5 curries, but we were given only 4 without salad. the amount was not just the price that was far too high, $3.5 for a small partial salad? the personal was not willing to replace any curry or even an additional page in the fact that we were willing to pay extra. Instead, they insisted on taking a full-fledged court that is bizarre. never come back!

we have come to empress taytu for over 25 years and there is a favorite we visit when we are on the east side of the city. a meal there is a true experience. we ask to sit on a traditional table that is the perfect setting for the large plate of injera flat brot covered with a series of delicious vegetable and meat dishes. the service was always great.

my family and I ate here the other night. we had a nice time. the walls are covered with information about empress taytu and Ethiopia, which was beautiful for my children to see. the food was delicious and our server was very friendly and helpful. the prices were appropriate for the amount of food we got (many we will certainly return.

Loved this restaurant! A tiny corner of Ethiopia plopped into a Cleveland neighborhood. Do sit in hut mockup eat inthe traditional family manner. Food was DELICIOUS! Will return.
