First of all, this is a great place to get American Italian food. It feels very NY or Chicago. It's very relaxed and they have extended the 2 for 20 until Friday before 5 pm. This is like a house salad x2 with pepperccinis and a big huge Spanish olive. 2 huge pieces of bread, 2 huge helpings of spaghetti, 2 slices of lasagna and a medium cheese pizza. Toppings are 1.50 extra each. It's loaded with cheese. Service is pretty good. Depends on the server. It's definitely not authentic Italian and that comes from a friend from Italy but it's very Italian American good comfort food. Filippis pizza has been one of my favorite Italian places for over 8 years, I had never celebrated any occasion there until yesterday. I decided to celebrate my 14 anniversary there and had a great experience, from the setup table to the food to a overall anniversary dinner. I want to give special thanks to Bree, who spent her valuable time designing a happy anniversary sign on our dessert to setting 2 bouquets of flowers and chocolates on our table. We were happy with her being such a great waitress and for looking into detail for such a special occasion.
