Frankie Johnny's - Reservar uma mesa

Some things are good here and some things are less good here. The ambiance is fantastic-classic-New Orleans dive bar/restaurant. They have some daily specials and a pretty good selection on their regular menu. For quite awhile I often found the seafood options here lacking and usually not a good value. They were getting pretty skimpy on the shrimp and oysters whether on a po boy or a platter. For awhile the food had really dropped off here but of late my last few visits have really shown a LOT of improvement! My video review of Frankie Johnny's is here: [hidden link]

Delicious food. This place is a classic in New Orleans and it'll always have a special place in my heart. My family has been going there for years ever since I was a small child (in my mid 30's now). It has a family friendly atmosphere and delicious food. Definitely recommend

excellent food, which really shows what the Louisiana seasoning is, after visiting more recognized or more famous restaurants, without a doubt we stayed with Frankie Johnny's, a cozy place with first-class service and extremely affordable prices

Waitress was terrible. Food was mid. Grilled chicken po boy not so much. Chicken parm was fantastic. Server seemed to hate the place, her job, the mgr, and the customers.

Shrimp in multiple dishes filled with poop. Not deveined or even purged before cooking. Disgusting to serve literal poop to customers.
