George's Mexican - Reservar uma mesa

I am giving them a 2 star only because the service here was pretty good, and 1 star would take away from that. Everything was brought out promptly, and the servers were very friendly. That being said, we decided to go to George 's for the first time, and we were pretty disappointed. I feel like I 've been to so many Mexican restaurants (since that is so common in this area), and this was the worst by a long shot. We went because I have seen cars lined up on the service road many times. I thought that SURELY it must be good, but I am seriously questioning the people that line up to go there. My date and I ordered house drinks (a sangria and a margarita). They were just meh...not terrible, but...

I just discovered this place on Sunday. First of all the salsa is pure love. It is spiced just right with a little zing. Not too much? But just right. We ordered lunch for 3 and ended up having lunch and had enough for 3 more meals. I can't wait to further explore their menu. I heard that the owner used to work elsewhere, wanted to cook and they wouldn't let him. Loss for them. Big win for Mandeville. This place has been here awhile. So, so glad he opened his own place!! Colorful interior adds to the overall feel for the place.

I 'm 25 years old and they refused to serve me alcohol because my id wouldn 't scan since it 's a Mississippi I 'd. Refused to look at my actual date of birth, and basically implied it was a fake. Don 't go here for a good time.

We like the chips and salsa and the margaritas are good....several flavors are available. Great service. Typical Mexican decor.... Very colorful and premises are clean.
