Grotesque Absinth-Bar

We read about this place and had to go there and check out the 1920’s atmosphere that transports you. The owner had such grace and knowledge about the 1920’s area and the Absinthe. He took care of each person in the bar as if they where vip family guest. Played the piano. You can feel the love that went into creating this capsule in time. With even a working wall mounted phone from the late1920’s begin 1930’s. This place is welcoming to young and old, artists and the every day Joe’s. An unforgettable experience that will stimulate all you sense. I am sure you love this place as we did.

I can't compare this place to another absinthe bar as it was here I was first introduced to absinthe properly, however I could not recommended it more highly. The location, decor and vibe is all great, but the shining star is the staff not only welcoming and affable, but very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their drinks, giving me all the information and recommendations I could ask for as a novice. Definitely one to stop at in Aachen.

Zugegeben es ist natürlich Geschmackssache aber als Liebhaber von absinth und den 20er Jahren bin ich voll auf meine Kosten gekommen. Das Ambiente ist liebevoll im Stil der damaligen Zeit eingerichtet. Man wird super freundlich und kompetent bei der Auswahl beraten. Leider war ich im Urlaub hier sonst wäre es meine Stammbar.

Hier kann man nicht nur Absinth trinken, aber wenn wird man von der sehr nette Jungen Dame aufs beste Beraten. Wir kommen sicherlich wieder. Vielen Dank für den gelungenen Abend.

This absinth bar in burlesque style is a real absinth experience! Worth a visit and and a drink or two with friends!
