Jamin Vegan (by Jamafo Xpress)

I seem to be in this area of LA once a month minimum and I’m not sure why I just found this gem. You can order online (I suggest this) or at their touchpad kiosk inside. FYI No inside seating. This is a small typical LA shopping mall with limited parking so best to place an order run in to pick it up. Well worth it! What a wonderful change of pace from the usual. My husband I could not believe how much each box meal weighed (at least 1 lb if not 2) as no skimpy portions here. We each now have enough leftover for a second meal. My husband got the jerk chicken. Lots of bold and flavorful vegan options at this establishment. I really enjoyed the pineapple tofu jerk spiced bowl w/ coconut rice, plantains and beans. I also enjoyed the jerk spiced nuggets which were tender, well marinated, delicious and has a nice spicy kick. And the newest menu addition the vegan reggae bowl w/ mango ginger chutney chickun is delicious as a nice non spicy option. Updated from previous review on 2021-10-11

I got the sweet and sour chicken with beans and rice, plantains. The man got the jerk chicken with veggies and rice, coleslaw and plantains. Both were delicious and the portions are plentiful and we ended up having two meals each. Highly recommend this place! Friendly staff and very clean establishment. Go! This place has some serious flavor!! I love spicy food so I was all in on their jerk chick-un. Fried plantains were perfect side. I would have gladly given them 5 stars but they also sell animal based meals. Regardless, love the vegan menu and will be back.
