I'm not going to lie, I've often passed Jeni to go to Salt Straw because... well, it's Salt Straw, IYKYK! So, S S S was packed like line out the door, so I decided to try Jeni because there was no line at all. When I came in, they only sold pints, so there was no line. I grabbed Pints, so I decided to try them, and OMG, I'm SO GLAD I DID! Her ice bursts with taste, smooth, creamy and literally made me a little dancy dance with each spoon. I woke up this morning and B fed to my freezer for a few spoons, plus it is sold in several nearby shops that is fantastic. All right! These are my favorite 3. They're $12 per pint in the ice business, but much less in the grocery store.

The brown butter almond brittle is the best imo. Second best is the lemon bar. They'll give you a scoop to try of every flavor before you make your ultimate choice. Of course I tried everyone of them to make that decision. I got the brown butter almond brittle with honey vanilla bean on a waffle cone. My mom got the lemon bar in a sugar cone. Service was swift and friendly. They were not pushy so I didn't feel like I needed to choose something immediately though there was a line. The place was well lit but nowhere inside to sit so it's a grab and go place. Parking is street parking in front of this location or anywhere you can find a spot on the streets.

This speaks for all locations but Jeni's has to be one if not THE best ice cream franchises out there. From the unique rotating flavors to the friendly employees I would choose this place almost every time (except the occasional mom and pop shop). They recently had an olive oil ice cream and a cranberry crumble or something and that was the most delicious and heavenly combination of ice cream I've ever tried. If you are just visiting LA I think its a must try.

I'm a big fan of Jeni's! I could eat pints of the Milkiest Chocolate... the Larchmont Shop is super sweet with a veranda available and some outdoor seats in the back. Parking can be difficult during the day, but not too bad at night. You now have a reward program through an app, so make sure that download!
