La Cave De L'abbaye

An old Cistercian abbey in ruins, the building of the convers monks is still standing and we guess a few rooms designed to accommodate branded guests. It is a rare abbey built on the stone quarry that was used to build it. There are more than two hectares of galleries below. We were there late May 2023 for a wedding. An old friend who lived nearby and hosted us on this occasion, told me that she sometimes went there, little one, with her great father and that the site was then covered with rinses and litter. We can't imagine the majesty of the place.

Nice frame because it's the Abbey Cave. We ate outside about 7:30. In April, don't discover a yarn and we might have liked eating inside a chimney fire, but I didn't pay attention if there was one and it would have been luxury. A glass of well-chosen wine and a board for two for a very nice price. We recommend and people are very welcoming.

Beautiful cellar in the heart of the abbey, with a great welcome, good advice to choose his wine. A very well-served charcuterie board with local products for a reasonable price. A chimney fire to heat the room. In short, an address has been retained.

Located in a magnificent setting, the Cave de l’Abbaye is a really nice place, with quality products at the level of wine as well as cheese/cuterie trays, and held by very kind people. The ideal place to spend the evening.
