This place scores high on my FLAPS scale. Food- 10/10 Location 8/10 Atmosphere 9/10 Price 10/10 Service 10/10 These are extremely high marks for my scale. I absolutely loved the place. My drink glass never went empty, our appetizers were brought about 2 mins after ordering. Our order arrived 5 mins (or less) after that. The place is clean, efficient, warm and cozy, nicely placed within a shopping strip, beautiful safe area, the decor is authentic Mexican mixed with local sports attire/artifacts (as it is located right next to one of the main High Schools in the city). I at first thought... How odd to have HS Sports articles on the walls at a Mexican restaurant. ... then quickly realized all...

I have been going to La Huerta since the early 90's when I visit Arkansas. Not much has changed... still good food and the best salsa, however on this occasion at this location the service was bad. So bad that I stopped asking for things because I felt like I was bothering the staff. I should have known at the start when I asked for an Arnold Palmer with unsweetened tea and lemon but received sweet tea and no lemon. The same happened on 2 subsequent refills. Asked for more tortillas, salsa and pico and only got the pico long after I was done eating at which point I thought I would never receive a box to take my uneaten, fajitas home without tortillas or the bill.

Excellent stuff! I love this place! There isn't anything else to say. Everyone else fluffs the review up like an obituary that no one will remember in two weeks. Try it yourself!

Was an excellent dinner. I would eat here many times because of the wide variety of choices. Great service too!
