Lareira - Reservar uma mesa

We got lost twice as our navigation took us to a wrong location, then using our phone we drove past it yet again but thankfully hubby saw their inconspicuous signage the 2nd time around. Their storefront looks rather uninviting and closed off by walls and you cant see into the restaurant. I believe they have 2 separate doors(one may lead into a bar setting, the other to a formal dining room, both areas are connected by a casual dining area. Only street parking is available-old meters using coins only. The restaurant was more than happy to exchange our bills for coins. There were 2 dining rooms -one more formal and the other was brighter, more casual with a tv set on a Portuguese speaking cha...

Pedro and his staff are top notch! When we’re in NY this is our place to enjoy a great meal with the old fashioned feel due to the dining room decor. Now the food review. Nothing here will disappoint you. Everything is cooked to perfection and like it just came off a boat or farm. We were in NY for 3 days and we ate here 3 times. The steak sandwiches for lunch are to die for. The bread is beyond fresh. Order a double espresso and sit back with a chocolate mousse dessert. Very disappointed at everything, the service was horrible we did not have any services , the food came it was cold we had not water no wine during our meal . I the end a did complain to one of the waiters who did offer a desert but I refuse . This place use to be good years ago but my experience after not going there for a bet was horrible .

What a terrible service. I went there part of a wedding my friend had there and we were seating at the last table which I didn’t know it meant the not to get food at all. We barely got anything at all when we asked a waitress and she was very rude about it and didn’t bring us anything. What horrible
