Came here for the first time with my fiancé and her sister from out of town for a fun Saturday night out. Guy at the front was awesome in explaining how pricing and everything worked, and we were to our lane in 5 mins. Trying to order drinks proved to be a bit of a challenge though. With no rules/regulations posted about how many drinks you’re allowed to order for yourself, the attitude and passive aggressive assumption that someone is getting 2 drinks for themselves is really to give 1 to a minor is ridiculous. The first and last time I will ever be here. I went here with my family with the good reviews. Halfway through our game, I went to get drinks for me and my husband. After making the drinks the bartender with blonde hair asked me for my ID I handed her my drivers license. She then claimed it was fake and said she couldn’t serve me. My husband went up there to get our drinks after she made them in-front of me. She then declined him service and went on a rant saying my ID was fake to him and was gossiping about me to him. I was actually visiting the snow cone shop that's in the parking lot of Westgate bowling lanes. See review for that snow cone shop as well, since I'm a native of Austin I can tell you Westgate bowling lanes has been there forever it's the natural home of bowling alleys in Austin tx. More so the fact is that they have continued to do well by us all in Austin texas, you will be glad to know there is no smoking allowed in the bowling alley anymore but when I was a kid it was allowed for a while matter of fact they were the last to ban smoking in places of businesses. Went bowling with my son on a Saturday afternoon, I understand they are busy and we were put on a lane where the bumpers won't go up and down. We chose to have them stay up for my son and asked if we could change lanes after a game, the guy at the counter told me yes. When I went back a different guy told me we would have to go back on the wait list with no estimated time. It was a super frustrating experience.

Great place for a bowl. Went around 9pm and they said a 30 minute wait . Nah it was like 10 mins tops. Plus, we just sat at the bar and had some nice drinks as well. Will definitely be returning.
