Date night. I'd hate to give him 4 stars. It was 4 1/2. The only thing that wasn't stellar was the Risotto. The depth of the taste was missing something. It could be used an additional note or 2 of spices/taste. What made a 1/2 point, although the Risotto was salty for my palate and I love salt. The Alpine Nacho appetizer was the highlight for me and a must. I live in Texas. Are they disappointed? I'd go back and just have it! My husband had the grilled pig dog. It was amazing and had a beautiful series of wonderful aromas and textures. I had her soft drink Pink Passion? ah-mazing! Log Haven was a good place to have a nice meal while in Salt Lake City. It?s tough to find vegetarian options at finer dining establishments, which is why we chose Log Haven. The service was awesome. So were the views. It?s nestled up in a canyon area. There was easy valet parking. The gochujang cauliflower was a great appetizer, perfectly cooked and great flavor. The mixed green salad was really yummy but over dressed. The pork was a bit over cooked and dry, could have done without the tortilla strips on the plate. The gnocchi/dumpling in the roasted hen of the wood dish was burnt and the dish needed to be wiped before served, great mushroom. You can tell the ingredients this place uses is...

Beautiful location in Millcreek Canyon surrounded by green trees and waterfalls. The food was good too! The Alpine Nachos are one of the best nachos I've ever eaten. The portions are generous. I personally think you? re really pay for the views and ambience more than the food. It was expensive, but the service was amazing and we will definitely make a trip back for views alone!

Very nice setting and food, but ready for an invoice. Although I have to say it worth it. The food was excellent as the drinks. Service was excellent and they have dog days on Tuesday and Thursday, where you can sit outside with your pup. Reservations are probably required.
