Malmaison Brasserie, Dundee

We received a £50.00 voucher as a Christmas gift and finally were able to use it today. We had been to this restaurant before, but this time was different. We were greeted with a smile and the food was excellent, except for some tough beef that was difficult to chew. Overall, the flavors were great and there was too much food to finish, so we happily had the leftovers boxed up to take home. The service was outstanding, with lots of smiles from the staff. Even when the waitresses finished their shift, they were replaced by two gentlemen who provided great service with smiles as well. It was hard to find anything wrong with our experience today, except for the rainy and cold weather as we left...

We booked a two-night stay here for my 16th birthday and dined at the restaurant both nights. It was a luxurious experience! All the dishes were perfectly portioned: satisfying, but not too much that we couldn't enjoy dessert because, let's face it, dessert is the most important meal of the day, right? The scallops, although not photographed, were divine - juicy, sweet, and cooked to perfection with a delicious sweet squirrel/chorizo sauce. The chickpea and red pepper bean burger was incredibly delicious - crispy buns, fresh vegetables, and homemade chips, what more could we ask for? The red pepper and mozzarella linguini was fresh and out of this world, yet still light and flavorful.

I had a bad experience at this restaurant a couple of years ago, so I haven't returned since. However, I decided to give it another chance while staying at the hotel. The service was excellent, with two young men running the dining room. The food was average, but the main course portion of salmon was very small. The first glass of wine was good, but the second glass was not chilled. They need to pay more attention to detail and address the portion sizes of the main courses.

I had a wonderful evening at this restaurant with my business colleagues. The private dining room and service were excellent. The menu had a good variety of dishes, all of which were prepared and served flawlessly. My steak was amazing and the cheese board was one of the best I've ever had. I would highly recommend this place for a special occasion.

Amazing service and fab food, set within a stunning building and decor. Never had a bad meal here, great place to relax and watch the world go by outside whilst you enjoy fine wines and tasty food. Nikos and his team are very attentive and always look after me and my guests. Highly recommend a visit.
