Naan Boti Chai Shai

I've eaten here several times and each time the food was fresh and delicious. Vegan options are plentiful more than half the menu. The best Indian I've had in St. Pete yet. The vegan naan is perfect as are the samosas. Every vegan dish I've had here is delicious. And now they have started a buffet and clearly my positive review is embraced by many others as people waiting for the buffet are lined up out the door. All I heard were excellent comments around me about the food. I would give it 5 stars but HappyCow says that 5 stars are reserved for 100% vegan restaurants. Unfortunately both times I've gone here the food I got was subpar. Most recently the sampler platter I ordered was burned and pieces were cold as if it had been sitting all day and then they quickly put it into a fryer or something. I also had to confirm several times that I wanted my food to be completely vegan no dairy or anything. On a vegan Facebook page people said this place was very good so it's unfortunate my experiences have not been great. Maybe I was just unlucky both times I went there. I also had to confirm several times that I wanted my food to be totally vegan no milk or something. On a vegan Facebook page, people said that this place was very good, so it is regrettable that my experiences were not great. Maybe I was both unhappy. Updated by previous rating on 2023-01-21

I’ve been hunting for a place that has great vegan Indian food, and this place definitely scratches that itch. Normally an issue with eating vegan at Indian restaurants is the prevalence of ghee, however the stuff here omits that. Lots of good options and really tasty food.

Sadly a terrible meal. Loaded with salt we couldn’t eat it. $100 in the trash.
