Nyala's African Restaurant

Nyala is a restaurant that deserves to be full every night, but it's also great to be able to just show up with a bottle of wine and enjoy a fantastic meal. I recommend trying the mixed entrees/dips, meat combo, and vegetarian combo if you're dining with three or more people. For two people, go for the mixed entrees/dips and the two meat/two veg platter for a variety of flavors. We dine here frequently and have never been disappointed. The ambiance is fantastic, the servers are excellent, the food is always delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. If they have live music on Saturdays, it's worth the extra $2. If you call ahead, you can also request gluten-free Injera. I appreciate that...

The Kuku Na Nazi was a flavorful chicken dish served with couscous. The spices were incredible and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The Nyala special, a beef stew served with vegetables and Injera bread, was also delicious. The bread soaked up the flavors of the curry and beef, creating a unique eating experience. Although I found the beef a bit heavy and chewy, overall I enjoyed trying something new. I would recommend giving this restaurant a try, especially since they accept Zomato Gold for complimentary dishes. Just be aware that the portions are large, so plan accordingly!

Dined late on a Saturday and found it was quiet and intimate. Asked the waiter to choose a selection for us. Less than 5 minutes later we were presented with four dishes on one plate.The Nyala Special (beef) was the hero, very tender and comforting. We were very impressed with the food and value. Four dishes, salad, rice, and injera for $30 which fed two hungry hippos. Only negative would be that the food was just warm but will be back for sure. Still talking about it today so its left me wanting more.

Great vibe! Great food! We got the entree combo and the mains combo, so much food and so yummy. The flavour combinations were very different so you felt that you were getting a full scope of what the restaurant had to offer. It’s a great exotic experience, made me want to visit Africa. The staff/owners are lovely, just being around them and chatting made me feel calm.

The waiter was very nice and the food was delicious, especially considering the price. I will definitely be coming back!
