On Rye Deli - Reservar uma mesa

I moved to Norwell 21 years ago and this shop was the best of the best. I really loved it. Sadly, It kind of slipped my mind over the years, mostly due to diet restrictions. Fast forward 15 years or so. Hunger prevailed one day, and I wanted to treat myself by paying another visit. Amazing. So happy it’s still here offering the best sandwiches in Massachusetts. If you’re a BLT lover, order one on their scallie bread. The chicken noodle soup is a brothy forward version of grandma’s vs. the thickened pre-made soups served elsewhere. The staff is exceptionally friendly, personable and busy keeping the store super clean! Happy I stopped in to visit and old stomping ground? Did not disappoint.

Awesome. I've had consistently great sandwiches from On Rye Deli and I have no idea how this place has an overall rating below 4 stars. I recently ordered a liverwurst sandwich which I hadn't had in decades and wow, it was just delicious! It honestly brought back great memories of childhood sandwiches made by my 1/4-German mom. For those few pics of a bland sandwich or salad, maybe that's what you ordered? I imagine some dishes start out that way for the few customers who actually prefer bland? Toppings are easy to add, but hard to remove.

Amazing food. Amazing people. I went the other day and they were closing up shop but were nice enough to let me in last second. Not only did they let me in, but they were so friendly and welcoming. I ordered a reuben and the owner (who was making one for himself at that exact moment) gave me the one that was supposed to be his right off the griddle and sent me off with a smile. 10/10

We found this place randomly looking for a good deli while out shopping and absolutely love it. If you want a great sandwich and good soups this is the spot. Food is fresh. Quick. And very tasty! highly recommend.

Pros: Delicious bread and cheese Very kind and efficient staff Cons: Not enough stuffing in between the bread Paid $9 for a small bowl of ice burg lettuce that hurt the wallet.
