Original Pierre Maspero's

I had a pleasant meal at a restaurant in the heart of New Orleans that was surprisingly quiet. The beer was excellent and the food was delicious. The staff was extremely friendly. I enjoyed trying alligator for the first time, finding it to taste very similar to chicken with a subtle hint of bitterness.

Shelly was incredibly attentive, ensuring we had plenty to drink and eat and offering fantastic recommendations. If you're unsure about what to order, I highly recommend trying the sampler. The crab cakes are also a tasty option for sharing.
