I chose this restaurant for a dinner at New Year's Eve with my son. What a pleasant surprise! Her special New Year's menu was wonderful. It was so hard to choose! We both started with excellent ice-cold oysters on the half shell. I had the Crab Imperial and it was just the best I ever tasted. The presentation of each course was worthy of the best restaurants everywhere. Our waiter Brian was charming and accommodating. We finished our meal with a champagne toast courtesy of the house. A nice touch to one of the best meals I've ever had.

Food and service were really good. Surprising to find it in this place. I had the Zucchini Crab Cake. It was wonderful and delicious! I'm picky about my Crab cakes since I'm from Baltimore. That's the best I had in New Jersey. I had the pineapple as well. My husband had the Oyster and Steak. He was very happy with both. He's also special about his steak. The service was also great. Will definitely visit again:

My Wife and I stopped at this restaurant by chance this passed Friday while house hunting in the area. We know Sewell to be a beautiful area and The Pelican is a perfect representation of that feel. The atmosphere was comforting and welcoming all in one, with service beyond professional and food to savor. If my wife and I manage to land a house in the area, we will definitely be regular at this establishment.

Food was very good and the service was fantastic, I had red snapper filled with crab meat with mushrooms Risotto and my wife had horseradish with mushrooms Ravioli. Definitely recommend trying this place. It's expensive, but you get a nice price. Try it and enjoy it.

The first time I had salmon with crabs, it was delicious. Place is very clean and waitress was very nice. I definitely go back. Bring your own wine ..and enjoy!! And if you need a job, they're hired!!
