What a fantastic birthday party at Primo thanks to the new owners! Louise and her team were incredible, going above and beyond to make it a special day for me and my family. There were 14 of us at the party and we all enjoyed a delicious Sunday dinner. The food portions were incredibly generous and everything tasted amazing. It was the best Sunday roast I've had in a long time, it felt like a home cooked meal. I especially loved the cauliflower cheese. I will definitely be returning for another roast after a nice walk by the river. Highly recommend!
The portion sizes were precise (though a bit small). The beetroot risotto was delicious but came garnished with inedible flowers. The restaurant boasts a charming garden. One of the waitresses was caught off guard when we inquired about the soup of the day, which was just a minor hiccup during an otherwise enjoyable experience.
A versatile dining or drinking experience: the garden offers a relaxed space to eat outside and both upstairs and downstairs areas hold a bar for accessible drinks service. Great for small groups and great potential for romantic dates too (look out for the two person dinner wine offers).
I recently had a great experience at this restaurant. The upper floor had a fantastic view of the city walls road. The beer and tapas were delicious, and the service was impressive considering how busy it was. The young girl working at the bar upstairs was very friendly and polite.
