Red Lobster - Reservar uma mesa

I don't eat any meat except for salmon. I love Red Lobsters wood fire grilled soy- ginger salmon. But due to inconsistent service when dining in, I no longer visit as often as I used to. Stopped by Red Lobster in Oakhurst, NJ. The restaurant was not crowded. Waited forever to sit, even though there were plenty of empty tables. Was seated at a booth near the bar. I waited over 30 minutes for someone to take my order. The only reason my order was taken after 30 minutes was because I called the restaurant asking for a manager. Visited on a Monday around 9p, an hour before the restaurant closed. We ordered the Ultimate Endless Shrimp special that is available on Mondays. The food was great but the service was the worst I have had in a while. We were rushed from the time we sat down at the table until we left. Our waiter very rarely came to our table to check on us and when she did she was rushing us and would walk away in the middle of us asking a question or talking because she was in such a rush. I understand we visited an hour before closing but we had planned to leave the restaurant before closing which we did. There should be no reason to rush customers if the restaurant is still serving and not has not closed...

I don't frequent this chain often but it's close to me and I haven't been here in 6 years so why not. Most of their prices have gone up quite a bit for a chain of this caliber, Yet the quality of food seems to be above average yet not great. The old adage you get what you pay for is very applicable here. A four course meal for $16.99 is passable just so you are sated and your belly stops growling. Meanwhile, Jennie has worked at this location for some 38 years and that is not a miss-print. She might have an unofficial record of length of employment at one particular venue in the service industry. Having dined out a lot, this is almost unheard of. What loyalty ! The feasts are very anemic now. The portion sizes have gotten much, much smaller while the prices are increasing.
