we were here several times and were very disappointed in the last two times. while the intention is wonderful, the food leaves much to be desired. most dishes on the menu are served with heavy sauces and not many sweet sides. I had a steak. the only dish that was not served with a heavy sauce and had been sweet. I had dessert the apple strudel with vanilla sauce. great disappointment! what is normally a fluffy crust was soggy and tasteless. the vanilla sauce had a skin, like warm milk when they make hot chocolate and do not stir. it was obviously warmed up in a microwave that I didn't like at all. we had a similar experience last time and will not come back until we hear of changes in qualit...

After spending Xmas and new year last and having a wonderful time, we decided to visit this place again. All we can add to our review from last year: this place is worth a second and third visit. Rooms are cosy and the views simply...beautiful. The meals excellent and we enjoyed the vine selection. We did not come across one which didn't fit the meal or our taste. If you go for a dinner try the local dishes! No need to mention that the service is friendly and very efficient. So for us this might not have been the last time we spend and enjoyed a few days there. Anything to complain? No! And NO!

on a beautiful summer day this must be an iconic place. the view of the lake and the surroundings, and the evening light when the sun is set is remembered. the terrace is very large and beautiful. the service is very good and the food first class, until dessert. the cream brulee looked beautiful, tasted ok, but it wasn't cb as it should be. I also asked about an expensive schnapps, and it was brought into the glass, no bottle. I asked and they immediately produced the bottle. it should have been standard procedure. otherwise we enjoyed the evening with som live music.

the restaurant offers one of the best views over the length of the constanze sees (bodensee.) eating is very good, but if you want a table at the rande of the balcony, you should make a reservation in advance. the prices are sufficient and they pay. a bit for the beautiful view.
