We received excellent service the minute we walked through the door. We were immediately shown to our table and handed a menu and asked if we would like to order any drinks. The menu mentioned “our famous stag beef pie” this sometimes make you wonder what they base this statement on well I can tell you this is probably one of the best pies I have ever had. The pie was stuffed full of tender pieces of beef and the pastry surrounding it was amazing. I can see why it is award winning. Good service, however one of the dishes had ingredients missing, did bring attention to the young staff who seemed ambivalent. Rest of food was tasty and enjoyable

Good home made food and very good service especially from the young lady that gave us directions to the car park
