Salute Italian Restaurant

Our friends recommended this restaurant to us and promised that we would all go together. Unfortunately, the first time we attempted to visit, they were closed for a break (only the second time they had ever closed). However, we tried again last night, a Saturday, and were not disappointed. We all started with a salad, which was very good and a generous size. One of us ordered the Greek salad, which was topped with plenty of delicious feta cheese. We were also served warm crusty buns, which were delicious, although they only offered margarine instead of butter. This is a little hole in the wall restaurant. Nothing to look at from the outside. The interior is comfortable made even more warm on a cold day by the owner. This was a business lunch. I started with a Caesar Salad. excellent as the anchovy came through. We each had the Frutti di Mari with white sauce (olive oil and garlic), The seafood was plentiful with six large shrimp, two mussels, with many scallops and calamari rings. The sauce was extremely flavorful with garlic and parmesan but not overpowered by either. Service was friendly and casual. A very enjoyable meal. I look forward to a return visit.

Made a reservation for 5:30,to ensure we had a table. large crowd came in shortly after we arrived, we were asked to leave or move to a 4 person table (we had 6) midway through our meal. I couldn't even finish my coffee. I have never written a bad review before but the unprofessionalism I faced tonight was a complete embarrassment to my guests and I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone else.

Nice little family restaurant with good food. Have been many times with my family and we all enjoy it. You can tell the cook to make it your way and they will fix it for you. Very generous helpings. Will continue to go here for good Italian food.

I am absolutely impressed! To put it simply, dining here feels like being at Grandma's house, except this Grandma happens to be a Michelin star chef.
