What I told Nift: A friendly, attentive staff and tasty beer selection greeted me at Shay's Pub Wine Bar in Cambridge. Nestled underneath the sidewalk in Harvard Square, with outdoor front patio for casual drinking and dining, Shay's retains a woody and welcome neighborhood charm that makes it feel like a refreshing local pit stop or ultimate destination for whatever you're doing or wherever you're going. Also, loved the eclectic, wide ranging array of music piping (bartenders' choice, but there's a good chance you'll hear some Yo la Tengo, Replacements, Guided By Voices, Clean, Galaxie 500, Kurt Vile, or Drive By Truckers in da mix), giving it a free form, indie rock spirit. Because you cannot give more than five stars. The only pub in Harvard Square. The food, wine and beer selections are phenomenal and well-priced. The owners obviously care about the customers.

Shays reminds me of an old London joint, great staff, great beers food and the best (only? open porch terrace in the area. Keep it up!!!!

Bar tender was lovely, fantastic selection. Quiet, nice place for a pint a glass. Would go back.
