Small Talk Tearooms

While other restaurants have closed for the winter, this tea room remains open to cater primarily to passing tourists. The staff gave us a warm and friendly welcome as we sought shelter during a rain shower. The menu offers basic tearoom fare, but the food was just average and the "side salad" consisting of lettuce, red onion, and a hard tomato was disappointing. If you're looking for a quick and unremarkable bite to eat, this place will suffice. However, if you prefer higher quality ingredients, it's best to search elsewhere.

This tea room is a wonderful example of traditional charm, situated in a beautiful setting. The food was delicious and the staff were welcoming and accommodating. Although we had to wait a bit for our food, it was worth it as everything was freshly prepared. This gave us the opportunity to soak in the atmosphere of this delightful little tea room, rather than rushing through our meal. The prices were also reasonable. We will certainly be coming back again in the future.

We visited this tearoom/restaurant on a very busy day, but did not have to wait too long to be seated. The cream tea came with lovely scones, warmed a little, but with no butter and we were not offered a choice of jam. Nevertheless, the whole ensemble was very good, and we left feeling well satisfied. There was an outside area too, but the atmosphere was better inside. I am sure Miss Marple would have been very happy here!

Food was fine, service absolutely apoorling. 30p for a glass of tap water. £3.30 for a small cup of filter coffee. Asked for milk which I had ordered book 5 mins to return with. Coffee was Luke warm. Server was pretty rude. Will never go back.

A great place for breakfast my wife and daughter went twice and i went once great soup,,toasties and the full English breakfast was lovely
