The Clay Pit Indian

I have ordered chicken biryani last night, usually biryani smells like ghee smell, but this biryani was smelling like a raw oil, full of masala and colour it was looking like a fried rice kind off, it is neither biryani not fried rice. If you do not know how to prepare biryani, stop selling biryani, don't make us fools ok, by giving some stupid tasteless dish and naming it as biryani. The food was really awful, I would have made better biryani compared to your restaurant. Worst food ever.

Very good ambience and hospitality. The food was really tasty and they didn't use excess oil in dishes which made them healthy as well. We had Indian dishes from many parts of Melbourne but this was different from others. The quantity was generous and wasn't costly. Overall, if you can embrace and want to try a different flavor of Indian food I strongly recommend this for you.

Such an amazing dining experience. We love Clay Pit. The food is amazing and the service is exceptional. Reasonable prices is the icing on the cake. It always surprises me that this restaurant is not booked out more often. Once you experience Clay Pit you will keep coming back again and again. Definitely my favourite local Restaurant and in my top 5 of all time faves

Just ate here with friends. There were three of us, we got butter chicken (mild) and beef madras (hot), lemon rice and garlic naan. Perfect serving sizes to share. Great taste and great, fast service. Really happy and excited to come back.

Amazing food, good quality with very affordable price. Dishes had a good taste of Indian spices- maintain the quality
