The Corner House Canterbury

This being my first time in Canterbury (and the UK in general , my friends and I wanted to get some authentic British food. This place was only a 5-minute walk from our hotel (Hilton and so we gave it a try. The ambiance is amazing: they have lit candles all the way down, and a big, antique mirror in the back of the room that opens up the space while cleverly making the door to the bathroom entries more subtle. We did not see the rooms at all, but we can safely assume more of the same decor! Anyway, on to the food. I never normally order the same thing in a restaurant, but 5 times in a row I’ve had the lamb shoulder to share. I could easily drink a pint of the gravy/jus. Staff were really nice as well. Just order the lamb. If you don’t like it I will fight you.

Excellent service, fantastic quality food. Definitely one to look out for. We spent more than normal, not because it was expensive, but we wanted to try more dishes than normal. I personally had probably the best mojito I've had.

I can't speak highly enough of the corner house. The service was second to none, and the staff whilst very professional were also friendly. I can't wait to return.
