came a few weeks ago with a big group. I have an allergy to lupin flour that has a heavy reaction. I can't say enough of this facility. I called in advance to inform them, they noticed this and asked me to make known at the arrival. I did this and was immediately resurrected by restaurant manager and that he would serve my meal personally. without making a damper and any amount, he served my eating at the same time as any other. no angry, no great thing, no feeling of uneasy for me. that must be the first place I didn't feel about my allergy. any esserei might learn from this type of service. that suffers from allergy is not easy and made worse when their allergens do not know! 5 stars for t...

last night had a surprise birthday meal with my whole family to celebrate to 30. we had the entire back area to ourselves; the 3 course set menus were amazing, everyone loved eating and the personal was fantastic. I wish I remember his names, but a guy went over and beyond. he was very helpful; making photos and even entertaining our little 2 years old. he was always happy despite the great number of people and made the night perfect. many thanks again! we will be back as always x

Lovely village pub serving excellent food and great ales. We were a group of three older gents exploring the area on motorcycles over a three day weekend and walked to the pub. We ate here on two consecutive nights and there was nothing but positive comments about the food and we are not always easy to please. A special mention must go to the service staff who really were absolutely excellent and made the whole experience so enjoyable. Highly recommended

First time today for my Nan's 80th, we pre-ordered as there was a few of us and the starters came out very quickly as did the mains, drinks were a little slower! Service was great and food was wonderful! My nan is a hard lady to please and doesn't normally eat a lot but cleared most of her plates!

first visit tonight for dinner. absolutely loved it, great eating, great service, great ambience..staff were brilliant, friendly and very attentive. the chicken escalope and sticky toffee pudding are a must. a discovery!
