The Old Post Office

I found it in Hornsea not many vegan options in small cafes like this, but here was great. I went last year and all they had was a soup with bread (unbuttered). When we went this time, they had vegan folding jacket and a few vegan treats. For hearty food they had vegan sausages, sausage rolls, two soups, vegan butter, vegan cheese for sandwiches, toasties, jack potatoes etc. and a vegan chili. I chose potato cheese and beans and I had to double check the cheese was vegan as it was so nice (and let it admit, vegan cheese is not always great! We have ordered take-away afternoon tea twice during lockdown and it has been fantastic. Today, we received a tray of vegetarian and a tray of vegan sandwiches, as well as a large tray of mini cakes - all of which were vegan. The service was very friendly.

Love this place... brilliant home made food which is great value for money. The owners make you feel so so welcome , creating a lovely atmosphere. My.little dog loves it as much as myself! We would visit every day if I lived closer!

We ordered afternoon tea to take off twice during the lockdown. It's fantastic. Today we had a tray of vegetarians and a tray of vegan sandwiches and a huge tray of minicake all vegan. Very friendly service too.

Nice little retreat, in a remote location. The breakfast was a welcome treat whilst camping and the menu was there was a bountiful choice of goodies. And the four legged friends are welcome.
