In all our years of eating out, we 've never been served food so unappealing and quite obviously just thrown together out of cheap supermarket, deep-fried cast-offs, it bordered on insulting. We each tasted one small bite of everything we ordered and opted to go hungry rather than subject ourselves to further misery. We had pre-booked a table for lunch here as we were visiting the area and had read pub 's website stating: We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality of food from a varied and comprehensive menu. I hope they take more care of with their food than they do with customer service. I made a mistake and booked the wrong Waggoner and Horses, including a £30 deposit. I realised my mistake about 12 hours later a full week before the booking. Despite numerous phone calls and emails, not even the courtesy of a reply!! My mistake, lesson learned and if I’m ever that way, there’s one place off my list. I’d bet another £30 that the hard working staff don’t see any of that!! Another “bonus” for the manager/owner. Heartless
Food was well below expectation for all meals and very over priced. For the price of the roast I expected so much better. Plates were extremely hot but the food was just warm, vegetables very little taste although yorkshires were good. Booked as an Easter Sunday roast and with advertising and cost I was expecting something much better
