Toasted Oak Grill & Market

I had made a reservation for my brothers birthday with the parents and his wife. Our server didn’t mention anything about it. The service was very slow. It took a crazy long time to get our drinks and our server, while nice, didn’t check on us very often. We had wanted more drinks and dessert and that took a minute and then when ready for the check we waited almost 30 minutes. At this point the restaurant was pretty empty so I’m not sure what was going on. The menu offerings were very limited and very few veggie or fish options (no salmon, shrimp, pasta, etc). There was a very bright light above the table that was blinding. The manager turned it down a bit but it was still very distracting....

Our waitress was excellent the food was excellent. The length of time it took to get our drinks, ~20minutes) appetizers was disappointing. It's understandable that staffing shortages are to be expected that patience is necessary when dining out, but, to see other waitstaff hanging out at tables where the customers must have been regulars, while the person serving us was doing utmost to keep up with the demands. Just left a negative impression. Lack of teamwork, lack of caring). The atmosphere in one part of the dining room was updated pleasant. Other areas need a refresher mirrored ceiling? Single waitress excellent. Food excellent. Hostess was good. Overall though, won't be back.

Used to love this place…haven’t been since covid. Came for lunch.. My companion ordered wings.. “ sorry we’re out of wings” Then asked for a burger..no bun.. “ sorry we’re out of burgers” She’s gluten and dairy allergic and eventually got a simple grilled chicken breast. I ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich. No seasoning… at all. When I asked where was the “ Nashville spice”.. Our server offered to bring me “spice” And then brought me some oil. Won’t be back.. makes me sad .

what a beautiful place. that was delicious. mixed board divided between friends meat, cheese, picked veg, candied nuts, dried fruits, fruit spreads, lavender honey. I had entrusted the coffee with roasted asparagus. my friend had the same thing and another friend had the bun and cuddly. ends with desserts apple cake cream brûlée and a dark chocolate cake. beautiful atmosphere. will definitely be back.

Overall a good experience but the server’s apathy was palpable. Other tables seemed to have a better experience with their servers. Ours was just particularly disengaged, which made for slow service.
