Weintraube sits at the heart of the community of the beautiful and friendly Seekirchen. The lake at Wallersee is just a short walk away and well worth a visit. Having visited Weintraube for dinner one evening at the start of our holiday we were walking...through the town when the owner Eva saw us and noted that we had been in the restaurant the evening before. The fact that we had been remembered and greeted in such a way led us to respond by saying that we would be back later. We visited Weintraube on five evenings altogether eating on four and enjoying a drink on the other. We have visited Weintraube numerous times over the past couple of years when in Austria. It is a favourite because of the great hospitality shown by owner Eva and her team. This time we returned with friends from the UK who have never been before...and great friends from the local area who had never before been to Weintraube. It was fantastic to be able to introduce them all to Weintraube. Having previously stayed in Seekirchen and walked a short distance to Weintraube we stayed in Salzburg this time and took a short and smooth train journey from the city out to Seekirchen.
