White Lion Pub - Reservar uma mesa

Decided on a mini pub crawl in Sawbridgeworth on a Sunday lunchtime. Having experienced a nearby pub (nothing to write home about) we popped into The White Lion for a drink and a look at their menu. Well, what a welcoming pub! As soon as...you stepped in, you felt the lovely atmosphere. There were families (with crying babies), a couple of geezers propping up the bar, locals, couples and groups. A right mish mash of humans, but do you know what? It worked. Everyone was nice to each other. I felt sorry for the girls running the pub. They were over-run, not just with drinks but having to be waitresses, bringing out food, clearing tables and making fancy coffees. All done with a smile. We share...

Very rarely leave reviews but feel this is well deserved. Me and my friend popped into the White Lion last Friday afternoon for lunch. The food was absolutely lovely and reached us in good time. The star of the show however was the hunky long-haired...viking serving us! Forgot to ask his name but even though he seemed to be working on his own the service was top-class. So lovely and friendly, he even brought my dog a bowl of ice-water as it was so warm outside. We'll definitely be returning, even if it is just to drool over the hot surfer barman.

We booked the Festive party menu for our Christmas do (about of us We were pre-warned that we may not get all of the food at the same time due to all the different options, no worries! It wasn't slow at all, everything was...hot and everyone got what they ordered. Bar Staff were great fun and the lady bringing out all of the food was so efficient, and lovely too!!

Came in for a lite Sunday brunch and although seemingly busy Jess could not do enough for us. Very polite and smiley, made us feel very welcome and recommend the Mac and cheese. Excellent choice of drinks. Would come again.

went there this weekend, had an great time, great service, lovely staff and that food! Wow. Girl with the arm tattoos served us fast, was a delight to talk to and polite even thought she seemed busy. would come here again.
