Two of us went for an early dinner on Saturday. The restaurant is inside a busy plaza in the corner. Walking in they have displayed pictures of their customers I'm assuming on their birthdays. We were seated promptly for a regular table and there was a few other tables there too. They have a small bar area and two sections of hibachi tables available. Our service was attentive and we ordered: 2 waters, hibachi chicken and steak combo, miso soup, sweet potato roll, California roll, and a pink lady roll. Yoshimoto is one of the places me and my boyfriend LOVE to go to on the weekends. I?ve done multiple birthdays and dinners there in the past and have NEVER had a problem with them. This past Saturday (yesterday) our food was absolutely disgusting and tasteless. The chef we had burnt our vegetables, which were still hard ? but burnt. We?ve had this chef in the past and he also didn?t cook our chicken all the way through. My boyfriends parents have ALSO walked out on this chef because of a previous bad experience. As you can see ? I didn?t touch my food at all and my boyfriend picked around in his. I will not be returning to yoshimoto for a while.
Today my daughter and I went to Yoshimoto for lunch. We had the pick two sushi rolls from the lunch menu. I had the sharp crab and the kani role with a salad. My daughter had the avocado and cucumber roll with soup. My salad came with too much dressing. After I informed the waiter, he brought me another salad and one side of the dressing. My daughter and I were both happy to come back a week. A total of 5 stars. Thanks for the good service and good sushi.
