"On the way to the Mosel we went to Bernkastel Kues to find a light lunch. So we tried it off and landed in a side street branching off the pedestrian zone towards Mosel. The restaurant is best reached on foot or by bike, car parking could be laborious. From the outside we had a well-maintained terrace and the great view from above on the Moselle. Immediately after entering the terrace we were very kindly greeted by a owner and took place on the terrace at a table with direct Moselle view. The menu offers some dishes and ice cups, certainly something for every taste. After a long time in the town we were hungry and took the tip to decide quickly because of a bigger troop, thankfully. We were served very friendly and courteous. So ruck zuck: 2 wine choir (0.2 l to € 3.20 and 1 x large salad plate with smoked salmon to € 9.80 and 1 x salad plate with sheep cheese and tuna to € 8.60. As dressing we chose vinegar oil instead of yogurt. At the side tables we took a look at the dishes and ice cups served after the order, everything looked very appetizing. The ice cups are for advanced : Our salad plates were served with crisp fresh salads. Leaf salad, cucumbers, tomatoes, very fine herb salad and carrot salad, fresh onion rings. The smoked salmon was in discout quality, slightly smoked but quite ok and fresh. Goat cheese and tuna on the other salad abundantly and without defects. The selfmade dressing consisted of vinegar, oil, salt, pepper for self-mixing. Vinegar and oil from the discouter but all right. I was surprised to see the salad. However, the good herb salad contributed to the good taste! For 2 salad plates there were 4 discs of simple mixed bread, here you could have been a bit more generous. Well... the ambience... The terrace very well maintained with many tables and the really great view of the Moselle. I was surprised how much value is placed on wind protection around and above (marks). In addition, radiators can donate heat. When I walked to the toilet I was very surprised: theke and spiral staircase to the toilet. Right view into the kitchen finished! There is no guest room and the restaurant lives from 01.05. 01.11. only from the terrace visitors and the view of the Moselle. No rest day for the operator pair. So I can only evaluate the terrace ambience and the toilet also with mosses : , at least with the ladies. The terrace and toilets were clean and well maintained. Photos"
