"... thanks to great friend marcO74! Some tips I can remember. Last Friday we went to Dahner Felsenland. And on the way to the South Palatinate: The path leads IMMER over Pirmasens (if Peter Kaiser has opened the factory sale of shoes). The recommendation of the brasserie, almost exactly 1 year ago, I felt good. And this is not far from Fa. Kaiser. For lunch we parked in the spacious parking lot in front of the restaurant. It looks tempting from the outside. Service: We had no reservations. We were welcomed by a service lady in the front restaurant area and led into the back, more cozy restaurant area. A nice 2 tables for us. Another gentleman from the service also took care of us, both absolutely friendly, well trained and attentive. They could give good information and left a highly motivated impression. The maps were handed and the daily menu was also announced. Fridays is fish day – perfect for us. The dishes came at very pleasant intervals. Food and drink: We ordered our drinks in advance (without card). 1 bottle of Taunusquelle, 0,75 l, to € 6,00 1 glass of Grauburgunder, 0.2 l to € 8,00 Me refreshed as driver the Taunus source with tinglingy reverberation. My husband's Grauburgunder is not a bad choice either. On the receipt document simply titled “white wine”, inexpensively for quite flat taste. The map is clear, so the fresh kitchen is nowhere. Well thought-out and creative dishes can be found here. The 3-course lunch menu was announced: trout creams, orecchiette with salmon cubes in the saffronsud, passion fruit cream for € 19,90! On request, the menu is served in 30 minutes, a good service for professionals. We had time and let the kitchen run. First of all, we were still delighted with a kitchen greeting. Aerially fresh white bread and a raw milk scrap. Flavoured with colourful pepper, I was very amazed at the creaminess, I thought it was mascara. Our soups were nicely hot, foamed, served and distributed their incense aroma. Smoked, we both like very much. But the taste of the soup with fresh dill convinces completely – very fine and undisturbed. The trout taste very mild and the smoke aroma remained discreet. On well preheated plates followed the saffron-yellow orecchiette. The portion well sized for a lunch meal, not too big. The pasta pretty al dente, also here the saffron fragrance was distributed wonderfully. The saffron perfectly dosed, not too much, not too little. The salmon cubes juicy, in the middle even slightly glazed. At first glance the salmon looked very little, he hid mostly among the noodles. Some fresh baby leaf spinach, coctailtomate and a kebel branch rounded off the dish tastefully and for the eye. From the kebel, I would have liked more, this one was incredibly good for food. Very nice I found that the court was only swung in little cream and not drowned. The dessert was simply served in the glass. The cream and on top a passion fruit level. I hope I'm not wrong, but mango was probably still in the cream. A beautiful finish, a simple dessert for a lunch table absolutely okay. Ambience: Just my taste! A modern and very well maintained farmhouse style. Lots of wood, pleasant lighting, acoustics and decoration, the tables covered clean with fabric napkins and wind light. Very comfortable seating, the tables are not too tight. We had a nice view of the quiet terrace behind the house. Maybe next time we can make it in nice weather and take a seat there. Toilets modern, absolutely clean, terry towels are available next to the washbasin. Conclusion: A great overall package! The only thing I didn't like so well: kitchen sauce, soup, main course and dessert: all with cream/sweet. I would have avoided this repetition in a menu composition. But don't hurt our good disguise! Thanks again to marcO74: On you is leaving! We wouldn't have discovered the brasserie alone."
