"This evening, plums showed up from his brittle side. Some restaurants were fully occupied, while others only turned out when opening the door that they were smokers' restaurants, which made us distance from a visit. Finally, we decided to eat at our hotel's restaurant. When entering the guest room we saw a young service behind the counter, which was busy with the infusion of drinks. A greeting or a table assignment did not take place, so we looked for ourselves a free table and took place. A few minutes later the service came to the table and handed us the menus. Even now the greeting was limited to a short “Hello”, then it disappeared again towards Tresen. Shortly afterwards, she came back and put small bread plates with butter knives on the right side of the squares, and served unshaped butterbreads in a bowl and four slices of bread in a basket. This evening she was only responsible for the service in the whole restaurant and was not supported by a tresen power. When a company with about twelve people arrived after some time, there were clear waiting times. Our drinks were served relatively quickly, we had to wait for the food. After we had had eaten a longer break was created, the dishes used were neither removed with us nor at the neighboring tables. Finally, the operation rushed, stood between three tables, pointed one after the other with the hand to the individual tables and asked: “Pages? Numbers? numbers?” without asking if it tasted the guests. Staff deployment is certainly a management task and, as we learned later, the company had not registered a few hours before. Nevertheless, the question remains whether it is recommended to only provide one service power on a Saturday evening, where you always have to count on larger numbers of guests. Only at the end when there were problems with Madame EC card when paying, the bartender intervened in support. But even the performance of the service itself was extremely strange, the scene with the “number?” was already underground. Essen According to his own statement, highlights of modern Bavarian cuisine meet classics. And to fill this nebulous marketing announcement with life here a few details of the offer: In addition to two appetizers, two salads and two soups, there are four meat and two fish dishes, including five of the so-called “classics”. These include white sausage with pretzel, rust roast sausage with ram potatoes and herb, pork roasts with Bavarian herb and semmelknödeln, a “Dormero” burger and finally a vasper plate with different types of sausage and cheese. The original menu can be seen on the hotel's homepage: [here link] From this luxuriant selection Madame opted for “Wiener Schnitzel with lukewarm potato salad, wild cranberries lemon” in the version with pork (10.50 €), in addition she ordered a water without carbonic acid (0.25l for 2.50 €. On my question about the pancakes, I received the information that be roast potatoes, which led me to the choice of this supplement instead of the fries. After some time I cannot understand the limited selection of food and the few guests who had ordered before the arrival of the company, our food was served. Madame was given on a square plate two cross-wise scavengers, along with a chop of potato pieces with a dressing with coarsely scraped mustard grains. There was also a small bowl with cranberries, a carved lemon with a caper apple on it and two leaves of salad as a garnish. On my plate I found some roast potatoes at first glance, a bunch of peeled onions, a bowl with herbal butter and also the salad set. The barely cigarette-sized piece of meat really came to light when the onions were deeper. At the beginning it was cooked as medium-well, at the other end it was then roasted pink as shown. The quality of the meat was good, the frying and Barbecue crust on top and bottom was however very firm and could only be cut hard. The onion rings were fine, but the pan potatoes did not deserve the comparison with roast potatoes. They were fried without bacon and practically without onions and hardly seasoned. At least the herbal butter was fine and seemed to be made. Madame was also not happy with her food, she compared the pieces of meat with sack bread, so hard and firm they were fried. The potatoes in the salad are old and only covered with mustard sauce. After I tried a piece of it, I forgot to take over her remaining portion. We were obviously not alone with our opinion on the quality of food, from the side tables that had partly made the same choice, we also heard clearly unsatisfactory comments. Ambience The establishment of the place is rustic, with originally bright wooden flooring, which had become dark over time due to running tracks, in places bright wood paneling and also furniture. The free areas of the walls were painted brick-red, the ceiling white. The table tops made of even brighter wood (pair? birch? were covered in the middle with short white table runners, there was still a smaller specimen in red In both of them the name-giving squirrels were embroidered in the contrasting colors. On the table runners there were salt and pepper mills in wood, a tea light in the red glass light, a beer crug with cutlery and napkins, a table waste bucket and a glass vase with a sad, probably several weeks old flower stem. Cleanliness The guest room was clean and worked well, with dishes, glasses and cutlery there was also no reason to criticise. We did not visit the toilets belonging to the restaurant, so no statement is possible."
